I recently binge watched every episode of Girls that was available on HBO Go which left me up to date on Season 3. It’s like watching Sex and the City except you don’t develop these delusional thoughts about what life in New York City post graduation should be like. It’s basically Chicken Soup for the Soul but in TV version.
It conquers all major issues females face in life like; your parents realizing you’re an adult and not paying for everything anymore, relationships and most importantly the dangers that are associated with cutting your own bangs. Is there anything more relatable than having an insanely pretty friend who complains about insignificant problems? Or the tennis match that is 21st century relationships? No, there is not. Lena Dunham’s creation of Girls gives post-grads everywhere the hope that one day we’ll look back on being broke and unemployed and it’ll all be funny.
