Current Hate: Williamsburg BK

If you’ve ever been to a bar in Williamsburg Brooklyn I’m sure you’ve met (or rolled your eyes) at a few “locals.” If you were born in Williamsburg—and still live there—you’re the 1% my friend, and I’m not talking about you! Whenever you speak with people in bars there, you more often than not find out they’re from those weird states you didn’t even think people lived in: Nebraska, South Dakota, etc.

They seem to flock to Williamsburg, all bonding over getting out of their small towns, and how they’re now ironically trendy—aka desperate for attention.

A few days ago I went to the Burg with my friends for a happy hour drink, or 3, and our waitress and three other people in the first bar looked just like Cara Delavigne.  There were also 12 too many pairs of skinny jeans—on men—and the girl at the table next to us was in a midi- denim dress… *shudder*

But not to worry, if you want to go to Willy and your face needs a break from giving dirty looks, and your eyes hurt from staring, I found the place for you. Turn your eyes to the beautiful views over the East River and the Manhattan skyline this Brooklyn hotel’s rooftop: The Ides at the Wythe Hotel.

If the pretty people, pretty views, and beautiful drinks don’t make you feel more at home, then you’re hopeless. This is perfect for a warm evening at sunset, so ditch the boys, grab your best girls and head to Williamsburg for a surprisingly not-hipster Brooklyn outing.
