Current Obsession: Frozen

I know Frozen has been out for a while and this post is a little late coming but I think it’s finally time to pay proper respects to this Disney masterpiece. If Frozen was available on Netflix I would be binge watching it right now instead of writing this post but it’s only available on DVD…and I can’t afford to spend $18.

00 on a movie.  My favorite part about Frozen is the bad wrap Blonde’s get in it, sorry but it’s been too long that brunettes have been forced to play the part of Darth Vader. What I love even more if that in actuality all the problems in the movie are caused by the brunette, Anna, yet that’s never brought to anyone’s attention. Elsa runs away to the mountains to live a nice, quiet life in solitude and after so graciously thanking Anna for visiting and asking her to leave, guess what…Anna won’t. After repeatedly forcing her presence on Elsa, Elsa does the only rational thing and shoots a dagger of ice through her heart. We’ve all had that clingy friend that just won’t leave you alone and despite Anna basically asking to have her heart turned into a human snow cone, Elsa still is the bad guy.

My second favorite part of Frozen? The music. Let it go, the song of our generation. I haven’t had a song speak to my soul that much since I cried in Tarzan during the “You’ll be in my heart” part.  One of the first song’s is “Do you wanna build a snowman?” and this is the first glimps we get at the OCD that is Anna, I mean the girl can not take a hint. It’s not an unrealistic movie though, Anna falls in love with this prince who pretends to like her just to get one thing…her kingdom. It’s basically an episode of The Real World with cartoon animations.

If you haven’t seen Frozen yet, you’re living life wrong so splurge the $1.50 from Redbox and start watching.
