It’s been 5 years since I got my driver’s license and I’ve had some time to notice some signs that people have actually paid to have printed.
“Baby On Board.” Ohhhh I had planned on ramming into the back of your car at 100 MPH but since I now know you have a child on board I’ll rethink that decision.
Are you trying to tell me if I pull up next to you I should roll down the window and congratulate you on your baby because I’m pretty sure that’s what your baby shower was for.“Stop When Children In Crosswalk.” I might not be the best driver and I may consider stop signs more of a suggestion than a demand but believe it or not I don’t need a sign to tell me to not make a human speed bump out of elementary school children.
“Construction Vehicle Do Not Follow.” What would you like me to do construction vehicle? CONSIDERING YOU’RE ON THE HIGHWAY. Who needs restraining orders when you can just put a sign on your back end to get people to stop following you?
“Stop Here On Red.” I’ve seen these a few times and they’re strategically placed right underneath a traffic sign. What is the point of this? To give me some added reinforcement that in case I wanted to stop in the middle of the intersection I can’t? This sign is about as smart as the conversation you hear from college girls in the nail salon.
If the government really wants to help out the public they should put the money for these signs towards subsidizing drinks at bars.
